Happy 2nd Birthday to the Little Winery in Dallas: Nashwood

Nashwood Winery, a fully operating winery located in a dry area within the city of Dallas, celebrated its second birthday in June, 2006.

According to proprietor Karen Eubanks, a September 2003, Texas law allowing wineries in a “dry area” to produce and sell wine as long as 75% of the grapes come from Texas vineyards is what enables the winery to operate in its Preston Forest Village location (SW corner, Preston Road and Forest Lane).

The grapes, grown in vineyards located in the High Plains of West Texas, are crushed, pressed, fermented, bottled, and sold on the premises.

Winemaker Steve Eubanks handcrafts small lots of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Meritage, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot wines, and visitors can taste and tour this dream-come-true family winery.
